Three Generations of Steel
Global Grinding is built on family expertise in metallurgy stretching back to 1985. From the blast furnaces of Dunkirk to the steel mills of Ghent, our knowledge has been passed down through three generations.
The Foundation
Our grandfather began his career at Ascometal Dunkirk, working the ingot moulds with heavy manual grinding machines and specialized grinding stones — flattening steel by hand.
Second Generation
Our father took over operations on-site, continuing the tradition of precision metalwork and expanding into industrial maintenance and welding.
Global Grinding Today
After working on-site as an employee, the third generation took over Global Grinding, carrying forward four decades of technical know-how into modern industrial services.
